Description
A tender and juicy pulled chicken recipe made effortlessly in a slow cooker.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs chicken breast
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Place the sliced onion and minced garlic at the bottom of the slow cooker.
- Put the chicken breast on top and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- Pour the barbecue sauce and chicken broth over the chicken, ensuring it’s well coated.
- Cover the cooker and set it to low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours until the chicken is tender and easy to shred.
- Shred the chicken using two forks and mix it back with the sauce.
- Serve immediately on sandwiches, tacos, or any other dish that calls for shredded chicken.
Notes
Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days. Freeze for up to 3 months.
