A tender and juicy pulled chicken recipe made effortlessly in a slow cooker.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chicken breast
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Place the sliced onion and minced garlic at the bottom of the slow cooker.
  2. Put the chicken breast on top and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  3. Pour the barbecue sauce and chicken broth over the chicken, ensuring it’s well coated.
  4. Cover the cooker and set it to low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours until the chicken is tender and easy to shred.
  5. Shred the chicken using two forks and mix it back with the sauce.
  6. Serve immediately on sandwiches, tacos, or any other dish that calls for shredded chicken.

Notes

Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days. Freeze for up to 3 months.
