Ingredients
- 4 chicken breasts (boneless and skinless preferred)
- 1 cup salsa (choose your favorite brand or homemade)
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Place the chicken breasts in the Instant Pot.
- Pour in the salsa, then sprinkle the cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper over the top.
- Close the lid securely and set the Instant Pot to cook on high pressure for 10 minutes.
- Once the cooking time is up, carefully quick release the pressure.
- Remove the chicken breasts from the pot and shred them using two forks.
- Return the shredded chicken to the pot, mixing it thoroughly with the salsa sauce.
- Serve warm, either in tortillas, over rice, or on its own with sides.
Notes
For deeper flavor, marinate chicken in spices and salsa for a few hours before cooking. Pair with toppings like avocado, sour cream, and shredded cheese.
