Description

Delicious homemade chicken schnitzels that are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, perfect for a family dinner.

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying
  • Lemon wedges for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Flatten the chicken breasts to an even thickness.
  2. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
  3. Set up a breading station: bowl of flour, bowl of beaten eggs, and a bowl of breadcrumbs.
  4. Dredge each chicken breast in flour, dip into eggs, and coat with breadcrumbs.
  5. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
  6. Fry the chicken breasts for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through.
  7. Serve with fresh lemon wedges.

Notes

For extra crunch, consider double-breading the chicken and experimenting with seasoning in the breadcrumbs.
