Description

A hearty and flavorful chili that is quick and easy to make in just one pot, perfect for busy weeknights.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef or turkey
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can (15 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 2 cups beef or vegetable broth
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. In a large pot, brown the ground beef or turkey over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the pot, and sauté until the onion is translucent.
  3. Stir in the kidney beans, black beans, diced tomatoes, and broth.
  4. Add the chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper, stirring to combine.
  5. Bring the mixture to a simmer, then reduce the heat to low.
  6. Cover and let it cook for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  7. Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed.
  8. Serve hot with your favorite toppings.
