Description
A quick and delicious chicken dinner featuring tender breasts in a creamy garlic and mushroom sauce, perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients
- 2 chicken breasts
- 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then add them to the pan. Cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 6-7 minutes per side. Remove the chicken and set aside.
- Add the sliced mushrooms to the same pan, sautéing until golden brown, around 5 minutes.
- Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
- Pour in the heavy cream and simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Return the chicken to the pan, coating it with the creamy sauce. Cook for another minute to heat everything through.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
For a lighter option, you can substitute the heavy cream with half-and-half or coconut milk. Feel free to use chicken thighs instead of breasts.
