Ingredients
- 4 chicken thighs (boneless or bone-in)
- 1/2 cup bourbon
- 1/4 cup soy sauce (low-sodium optional)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional for thickening)
- Green onions (for garnish)
Instructions
- Place the chicken thighs in your slow cooker.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the bourbon, soy sauce, minced garlic, ginger, and brown sugar until blended.
- Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken, ensuring it’s well coated.
- Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
- If desired, mix cornstarch with a little water to form a slurry and stir it into the slow cooker for a thicker sauce. Cook on high for an additional 30 minutes.
