Description

A creamy, easy-to-make dish featuring tender chicken in a savory sauce, served over angel hair pasta. Perfect for busy weeknights and family gatherings!

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 packet of Italian dressing mix
  • 1 can of cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup of chicken broth
  • 8 ounces of cream cheese, cut into cubes
  • 8 ounces of angel hair pasta
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Start by placing the chicken breasts at the bottom of the crock pot.
  2. In a bowl, mix the Italian dressing mix, cream of chicken soup, and chicken broth thoroughly.
  3. Pour the mixture over the chicken breasts.
  4. Add in the cubed cream cheese—don’t worry, it will melt beautifully while cooking.
  5. Cover the crock pot and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours, allowing the flavors to meld and the chicken to become tender.
  6. About 30 minutes before you plan to serve, cook the angel hair pasta according to the package instructions.
  7. Once the chicken is fully cooked, shred it in the sauce until it’s well combined, and serve over the cooked pasta.
  8. Finish with a sprinkle of fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

For a lighter option, use low-fat cream cheese or substitute pasta for zucchini noodles. Leftovers can be stored for 3 to 4 days in the refrigerator.
