Description
A creamy, easy-to-make dish featuring tender chicken in a savory sauce, served over angel hair pasta. Perfect for busy weeknights and family gatherings!
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 packet of Italian dressing mix
- 1 can of cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup of chicken broth
- 8 ounces of cream cheese, cut into cubes
- 8 ounces of angel hair pasta
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Start by placing the chicken breasts at the bottom of the crock pot.
- In a bowl, mix the Italian dressing mix, cream of chicken soup, and chicken broth thoroughly.
- Pour the mixture over the chicken breasts.
- Add in the cubed cream cheese—don’t worry, it will melt beautifully while cooking.
- Cover the crock pot and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours, allowing the flavors to meld and the chicken to become tender.
- About 30 minutes before you plan to serve, cook the angel hair pasta according to the package instructions.
- Once the chicken is fully cooked, shred it in the sauce until it’s well combined, and serve over the cooked pasta.
- Finish with a sprinkle of fresh parsley if desired.
Notes
For a lighter option, use low-fat cream cheese or substitute pasta for zucchini noodles. Leftovers can be stored for 3 to 4 days in the refrigerator.
