A rich and creamy Indian dish featuring tender pieces of chicken simmered in a spiced sauce, perfect for weeknight dinners or festive gatherings.

  • 1 pound boneless chicken, cut into pieces
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 1 can (14 oz) tomato puree
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 teaspoons garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large pan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onions and sauté until they turn translucent.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic and ginger, cooking until fragrant.
  4. Introduce the chicken pieces to the pan, cooking until browned on all sides.
  5. Pour in the tomato puree and heavy cream, followed by the garam masala, turmeric, and cumin.
  6. Season with salt and pepper, letting the mixture simmer for 15-20 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce has thickened.
  7. Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve warm.
