Description

A comforting bake combining tender chicken, vibrant spinach, and earthy mushrooms in a creamy sauce topped with melted cheese.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups (300 g) diced chicken breast
  • 1 cup (150 g) fresh spinach
  • 1 cup (150 g) sliced mushrooms
  • 1 cup (240 ml) heavy cream
  • 1 cup (100 g) shredded cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup (150 g) cooked pasta (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Dice the chicken breast into bite-sized pieces.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Season the diced chicken with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Add the sliced mushrooms and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until tender.
  6. Fold in the fresh spinach, letting it wilt slightly.
  7. Pour in the heavy cream, stirring well to combine, and let it simmer for about 3-5 minutes to meld flavors.
  8. Sprinkle in half of the shredded cheese, stirring until melted and creamy.
  9. Transfer the mixture into a greased baking dish.
  10. If using, fold in the pre-cooked pasta, distributing evenly.
  11. Top with the remaining shredded cheese for a beautifully golden crust.
  12. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  13. Let it sit for a few minutes before serving warm.

Notes

Garnish with fresh herbs or cracked black pepper for enhanced flavor.
