A savory dish featuring chicken breasts rolled with ham and Swiss cheese, coated in breadcrumbs for a delightful crunch.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 4 slices of ham
  • 4 slices of Swiss cheese
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Place a chicken breast between two sheets of plastic wrap and pound it down to about 1/4 inch in thickness.
  3. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
  4. Lay a slice of ham and a slice of cheese on each chicken breast.
  5. Roll up the chicken tightly and secure with toothpicks if needed.
  6. Dredge each roll in flour, dip in beaten eggs, then coat with breadcrumbs.
  7. In a skillet, heat the butter and olive oil over medium heat.
  8. Brown the chicken rolls on all sides, then transfer them to a baking dish.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until chicken is fully cooked.
  10. Remove toothpicks, slice, and savor your creation!

Notes

For an extra crispy exterior, consider double-dipping in the egg and breadcrumbs. You can experiment with spices for elevated flavors.
