Ingredients
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or thighs)
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil or butter
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: garlic powder, onion powder
Instructions
- Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Season the chicken with salt, pepper, and optional spices.
- Add the chicken to the skillet and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side until fully cooked. Remove and set aside.
- Whisk the flour into the remaining drippings in the skillet, then slowly add the chicken broth, scraping up any brown bits.
- Pour the gravy over the cooked chicken in the skillet and let it simmer for about 3-5 minutes until thickened.
- Serve hot!
