A delightful creamy pasta dish combining tender Cajun-spiced chicken and rich Alfredo sauce with fettuccine.
Ingredients
- 2 chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
- 8 oz fettuccine pasta
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the fettuccine pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Season the chicken breasts with Cajun seasoning, ensuring they’re evenly coated.
- In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add the chicken and cook for about 6-7 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from skillet and let rest before slicing.
- In the same skillet, pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in grated Parmesan until melted. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Toss the cooked pasta in the sauce to coat.
- Slice the rested chicken and serve on top of the pasta. Garnish with chopped parsley.
Notes
For a lighter version, substitute heavy cream with half-and-half. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
