Description
These Air Fryer Firecracker Chicken Meatballs are a burst of flavor, combining tender ground chicken with sweet and savory ingredients, cooked quickly in an air fryer.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground chicken
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
- 1 tsp ginger, grated
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, breadcrumbs, chopped green onions, minced garlic, egg, soy sauce, sweet chili sauce, grated ginger, salt, and pepper. Mix until everything is well incorporated.
- Shape the mixture into meatballs about 1 inch in diameter.
- Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (193°C).
- Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray to ensure the meatballs don’t stick.
- Arrange the meatballs in a single layer in the basket, ensuring they’re not touching.
- Cook for 10-12 minutes or until they’re cooked through and golden brown on the outside.
- Serve hot, drizzled with extra sweet chili sauce if you like!
Notes
Don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket. For extra moisture, consider adding a teaspoon of sesame oil to the mixture. Check for doneness with a meat thermometer; the internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C).
