Ingredients
- 2 lbs chicken breast tenders
- 1 cup Italian-style breadcrumbs

- 2 large eggs

- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Fresh basil for garnish
- Bell peppers and zucchini (optional for veggie side)
Instructions
- Prepare the chicken by patting the tenders dry and seasoning with salt and black pepper.
- Set up the breading station with flour, beaten eggs, and a mixture of breadcrumbs, Parmesan, garlic powder, and oregano.
- Coat the chicken by dredging in flour, dipping in egg, and coating in the breadcrumb mixture.
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and arrange the tenders on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and cooked through.
- Add marinara sauce over each tender and sprinkle with mozzarella before returning to the oven for 3-5 minutes until melted.
- Garnish with fresh basil and serve hot with your choice of sides.
