Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup yogurt (or plant-based yogurt for dairy-free)
  • 2 tablespoons grated ginger
  • 1 tablespoon turmeric
  • 2 tablespoons garam masala
  • 1 tablespoon cumin
  • 1 tablespoon coriander
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt to taste
  • 500g chicken breast, cut into pieces

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the yogurt, grated ginger, turmeric, garam masala, cumin, coriander, lemon juice, minced garlic, and salt.
  2. Stir until well blended to create a rich, aromatic marinade.
  3. Add the chicken pieces to the marinade, ensuring they are fully coated.
  4. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour. For optimal flavor, marinate overnight.
  5. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
  6. Arrange the marinated chicken on a baking tray and bake for 20-25 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and slightly charred.

Notes

To enhance the flavors, allow the chicken to marinate for longer. You can also substitute firm tofu or paneer for a vegetarian option.
