Description

Comfort food at its finest, this casserole combines tender shredded rotisserie chicken with creamy ricotta and marinara, perfect for busy weeknights.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups rotisserie chicken, shredded
  • 1 cup cooked pasta (penne or rotini)
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh basil, for garnish


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine the shredded rotisserie chicken, cooked pasta, marinara sauce, ricotta cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
  3. Spread the chicken and pasta mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  4. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese over the top.
  5. Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  6. Remove from the oven, let it cool for a minute, and garnish with fresh basil.

Notes

Use good quality marinara for the best flavor. Let the casserole rest for a few minutes after baking to help everything set up nicely.
