Ingredients
- 8 ounces of pasta (penne or fettuccine)
- 2 cups of cooked chicken, shredded or diced
- 1/2 cup basil pesto (store-bought or homemade)
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to the package instructions, reserving 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
- Combine the cooked chicken and pesto in a large pot over medium heat. Stir for 1-2 minutes until warmed through.
- Pour in the heavy cream and stir until well combined.
- Gradually add the reserved pasta water to achieve your desired sauce consistency.
- Toss the cooked pasta into the sauce and sprinkle in the Parmesan cheese. Mix everything together thoroughly.
- Season with salt and pepper to your liking.
- Serve warm, garnished with fresh basil if desired.
Notes
