Crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, these chicken cutlets are a comforting classic perfect for busy weeknights or gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Preheat your skillet over medium heat and drizzle in your frying oil.
  2. Thinly slice the chicken breasts to ensure quick cooking and tender bites.
  3. Set up your breading station: one plate filled with flour mixed with salt and pepper, another with beaten eggs, and the last with breadcrumbs.
  4. Dredge each slice of chicken in the flour, dip it in the egg wash, and then coat it evenly with breadcrumbs.
  5. Once your oil is hot, carefully place each breaded chicken piece in the skillet.
  6. Fry them until they are golden brown and fully cooked through, roughly 4-5 minutes per side.
  7. Transfer the cutlets to paper towels to absorb any excess oil.
  8. Serve them hot, and watch everyone delight in your homemade creation!

Notes

Feel free to use panko for extra crunch or seasoned breadcrumbs for added flavor. Double-dipping in egg and breadcrumbs can enhance crunchiness.
