Description

A delightful pasta dish with juicy chicken and tender noodles in a rich and creamy sauce, perfect for busy weeknights or cozy gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups pasta (penne, rotini, or bowtie)
  • 1 pound chicken breast, diced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)


Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta in salted boiling water until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  2. Sauté the chicken in olive oil over medium heat, seasoning with salt and pepper, until golden brown and cooked through.
  3. Prepare the sauce by adding heavy cream and chicken broth to the pot with the chicken, then stir in garlic powder, onion powder, basil, and paprika. Simmer for 3-5 minutes until slightly thickened.
  4. Incorporate the shredded cheese, stirring until melted and creamy.
  5. Combine the cooked pasta with the sauce and mix until well coated.
  6. Serve the pasta in bowls, garnished with chopped parsley.

Notes

For a lighter version, mix light cream with Greek yogurt. Enjoy fresh as this dish does not freeze well.
