Ingredients
- 2 cups pasta (penne, rotini, or bowtie)
- 1 pound chicken breast, diced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook the pasta in salted boiling water until al dente, then drain and set aside.
- Sauté the chicken in olive oil over medium heat, seasoning with salt and pepper, until golden brown and cooked through.
- Prepare the sauce by adding heavy cream and chicken broth to the pot with the chicken, then stir in garlic powder, onion powder, basil, and paprika. Simmer for 3-5 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Incorporate the shredded cheese, stirring until melted and creamy.
- Combine the cooked pasta with the sauce and mix until well coated.
- Serve the pasta in bowls, garnished with chopped parsley.
Notes
For a lighter version, mix light cream with Greek yogurt. Enjoy fresh as this dish does not freeze well.
