Description
A tender and juicy chicken dish that is simple enough for weeknight dinners and impressive enough for guests.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon dried thyme
- 1 tablespoon dried rosemary
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons butter
Instructions
- Prepare the Chicken Breasts: If your chicken breasts are thick, butterfly or gently pound them to ensure they cook evenly.
- Season the Chicken: Combine garlic powder, onion powder, dried thyme, dried rosemary, paprika, salt, and black pepper in a small bowl. Rub the mixture all over the chicken breasts for an even coating.
- Heat the Oil: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, warm the olive oil. Once it’s sizzling, add the seasoned chicken. Cook for about 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown and beautifully seared.
- Add the Butter and Chicken Broth: Reduce the heat to low and pour in the chicken broth and butter. This step creates a mouthwatering sauce that ensures the chicken remains moist.
- Simmer the Chicken: Cover the skillet and let the chicken simmer for 10-12 minutes. You’ll notice the chicken becoming tender as it soaks up the broth.
- Finish and Serve: Once cooked through, remove the chicken from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes. This will enhance the juiciness of each bite.
Notes
For best results, use a meat thermometer to ensure chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
