Description
A delightful Italian-American dish combining tender chicken with a zesty lemon and caper sauce, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 4 chicken breasts
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup white wine
- 1 cup chicken broth
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 2 tablespoons capers
- Fresh parsley for garnish
- Pasta for serving
Instructions
- Season the chicken breasts generously with salt and pepper. Dredge them in flour, ensuring each piece is evenly coated.
- Heat the olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat until bubbling. Add the chicken breasts and cook until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes per side.
- Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside. Add the white wine and chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits.
- Stir in the lemon juice and capers, then return the chicken to the skillet.
- Simmer for 5-7 minutes or until fully cooked and the sauce thickens slightly.
Notes
Serve over pasta or with a fresh salad. Leftovers can be reheated gently in a skillet with a splash of broth.
