Description

A delightful Italian-American dish combining tender chicken with a zesty lemon and caper sauce, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup white wine
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 2 tablespoons capers
  • Fresh parsley for garnish
  • Pasta for serving

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts generously with salt and pepper. Dredge them in flour, ensuring each piece is evenly coated.
  2. Heat the olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat until bubbling. Add the chicken breasts and cook until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes per side.
  3. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside. Add the white wine and chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits.
  4. Stir in the lemon juice and capers, then return the chicken to the skillet.
  5. Simmer for 5-7 minutes or until fully cooked and the sauce thickens slightly.

Notes

Serve over pasta or with a fresh salad. Leftovers can be reheated gently in a skillet with a splash of broth.
