A sweet and spicy dish featuring juicy chicken marinated in spices, topped with creamy feta and hot honey.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 pieces Chicken Thighs or Breasts
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1/2 cup Honey
  • 1 teaspoon Chili Flakes
  • 2 tablespoons Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons Butter or Olive Oil
  • 1 clove Garlic (Minced)
  • 1 cup Feta Cheese
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Parsley or Mint
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Zest or Juice
  • Toasted Sesame Seeds or Extra Chili Flakes (Optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Marinate the Chicken: In a bowl, combine olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Add the chicken, ensuring it’s thoroughly coated. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Cook the Chicken: Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add the marinated chicken and cook for 5-7 minutes on each side or until cooked through and golden brown.
  3. Make the Hot Honey Sauce: In the same skillet, melt the butter. Add minced garlic, cooking for a minute until fragrant. Stir in honey, chili flakes, and apple cider vinegar. Let it bubble and thicken for about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Assemble and Finish: Once the chicken is cooked, pour the hot honey sauce over it, allowing it to soak in. Crumble feta cheese on top, followed by parsley or mint, and a sprinkle of lemon zest.
  5. Serve: Plate the chicken, drizzle some extra hot honey sauce, and garnish with toasted sesame seeds or additional chili flakes if desired.

Notes

If marinating for longer, try to do so overnight for enhanced flavor. Adjust chili flakes to your heat preference.
