A quick and nutritious stir fry combining ground chicken and broccoli, perfect for a weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 3 cups broccoli florets (bite-sized)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce (or tamari for a gluten-free option)
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for spice)
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable or olive oil

Instructions

  1. Heat the vegetable or olive oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the ground chicken, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned and no longer pink, approximately 5-7 minutes.
  3. Push the chicken to the side and add garlic, ginger, and broccoli. Stir fry together for about 3-4 minutes until the broccoli is bright and slightly crunchy.
  4. Pour in soy sauce and drizzle with sesame oil, stirring to coat evenly. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes for flavors to blend.
  5. Turn off the heat and sprinkle with green onions and red pepper flakes if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

For a leaner option, substitute turkey for ground chicken. Feel free to add your favorite vegetables for extra nutrition.
