Description

A sweet and savory dish made with chicken, honey, garlic, and soy sauce, perfect for easy weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice or vegetables for serving

Instructions

  1. Combine honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, rice vinegar, ground ginger, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl.
  2. Place the chicken breasts in the crockpot and pour the honey garlic mixture over them, ensuring they’re well-coated.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or set it on high for 3-4 hours until the chicken is tender and thoroughly cooked.
  4. Shred the chicken with two forks and mix it back into the sauce for an even coating.
  5. Serve it hot over a bed of rice or alongside your favorite vegetables.

Notes

For a healthier twist, substitute honey for maple syrup or use low-sodium soy sauce.
