Description

A comforting dish combining tender chicken, cheesy tortellini, and a rich basil pesto cream sauce.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups chicken breast, cooked and diced
  • 1 package (9-12 oz) cheese tortellini
  • 1 cup basil pesto
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish


Instructions

  1. Cook the cheese tortellini according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Combine the diced chicken and basil pesto in a large skillet over medium heat. Stir until heated through.
  3. Stir in the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese until the sauce is well mixed and creamy.
  4. Add the cooked tortellini, gently folding to coat them in the sauce.
  5. Season with salt and pepper as desired. Serve warm, garnished with fresh basil.

Notes

For a dairy-free version, use coconut cream. Adjust salt according to your pesto’s flavor.
