Description

A creamy pasta dish featuring tender penne noodles enveloped in a savory chicken sauce loaded with ranch seasoning and cream cheese.


Ingredients

  • 8 ounces penne pasta
  • 2 cups cooked and shredded chicken
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped green onions for garnish


Instructions

  1. Cook the penne pasta according to package instructions. Once it’s al dente, drain and set aside.
  2. Prepare the chicken sauce by combining the shredded chicken, softened cream cheese, chicken broth, ranch seasoning mix, garlic powder, and onion powder in a large pot over medium heat. Stir until melted and well combined.
  3. Add the drained penne pasta and shredded cheddar cheese to the chicken mixture. Gently mix until the pasta is coated in the creamy sauce.
  4. Taste the dish and season with salt and pepper to your preference.
  5. Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions.

Notes

For a lighter version, replace half of the cream cheese with Greek yogurt. It can be frozen for up to 2 months.
