A delightful pasta dish featuring chicken, bowtie pasta, and broccoli in a rich, buttery, and zesty lemon sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 12 oz bowtie (farfalle) pasta
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 tsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • Juice and zest of 1 lemon
  • 6 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup reserved pasta water
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh chives, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)


Instructions

  1. Prepare your ingredients by cutting the chicken and measuring spices, pasta, and veggies.
  2. Cook the pasta in salted boiling water; add broccoli in the last 2 minutes.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet and cook the chicken with seasonings until golden brown.
  4. Add butter to the skillet, then stir in mustard, lemon juice, and zest, followed by Parmesan until creamy.
  5. Combine the drained pasta and broccoli with the sauce, tossing gently.
  6. Garnish with parsley, chives, and Parmesan before serving.

Notes

You can substitute chicken breasts with thighs for a juicier option. Adjust the spices to your preference.
