Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound of chicken (breast or thighs)
  • 2 cups of chicken broth
  • 1 cup of milk

Instructions

  1. Boil the chicken in the chicken broth until cooked through. Remove the chicken, shred it, and set aside.
  2. Add your mixed vegetables to the same pot and bring to a simmer.
  3. Combine flour, baking powder, salt, and melted butter in a bowl. Stir in the milk until just combined.
  4. Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the simmering broth and cook for about 15 minutes until the dumplings are fluffy and fully cooked.
  5. Add the shredded chicken back to the pot, stirring carefully to combine. Season to taste and serve hot.

Notes

For best results, use fresh ingredients and don’t overmix the dumpling batter. Customize with herbs or spices for added flavor.
