A quick and healthy Chicken and Broccoli Skillet, perfect for busy weeknight dinners with family.

  • 3-4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
  • 4 cups fresh broccoli florets
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prep ingredients: Start by cutting the chicken into bite-sized pieces. Wash your broccoli florets and mince the garlic.
  2. Sauté chicken: Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until it’s golden brown and fully cooked through.
  3. Add garlic and broccoli: Stir in the minced garlic and broccoli florets. Let them cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Mix in sauces: Pour in the soy sauce and sesame oil, stirring continuously. Cook for another 3-5 minutes, until the broccoli is vibrant yet tender.
  5. Season & serve: Adjust the seasoning by adding salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes to your taste. Serve this amazing dish hot, either over rice or noodles.

Notes

For best results, cut chicken into uniform pieces for even cooking. Experiment by swapping chicken for shrimp or tofu, and try adding ginger for extra flavor.
