Description

A savory dish of tender chicken breasts stuffed with sautéed mushrooms and garlic butter, topped with melted cheese, perfect for weeknight dinners or special occasions.

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup mushrooms, chopped
  • 4 tablespoons garlic butter
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (mozzarella or cheddar)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Optional: Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped mushrooms and sauté for about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Season the sautéed mushrooms with salt and pepper, remove from heat, and stir in 2 tablespoons of garlic butter until melted.
  4. Cut a pocket into each chicken breast and stuff each pocket generously with the mushroom mixture.
  5. Melt the remaining garlic butter in a large oven-safe skillet. Once hot, add the stuffed chicken breasts and sear on both sides until golden brown (about 4-5 minutes per side).
  6. Sprinkle shredded cheese on each chicken breast.
  7. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes until chicken is cooked through and the cheese is melted.
  8. Remove from oven, garnish with fresh parsley if desired, and serve warm.

Notes

Don’t overstuff the chicken to avoid bursting. Ensure the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C) for safety.
