Description
A delicious one-pan meal combining juicy chicken breasts, tender asparagus, and creamy Caesar dressing, topped with savory Parmesan cheese.
Ingredients
- 4 pieces chicken breasts (boneless, skinless)
- to taste salt and pepper (for seasoning)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 pound asparagus spears (trimmed)
- 1 cup Caesar dressing (store-bought or homemade)
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese (grated)
- 1 lemon (cut into wedges for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Season both sides of the chicken breasts generously with salt and pepper.
- Sear the chicken breasts in a large oven-proof skillet with olive oil over medium-high heat for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove from heat.
- Pour Caesar dressing over each piece of chicken, making sure each piece is well-coated. Sprinkle the Parmesan cheese evenly on top.
- Arrange the trimmed asparagus around the chicken in the skillet and sprinkle with garlic powder.
- Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20 minutes. The chicken should reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C), and the asparagus should be tender-crisp.
- Remove the skillet from the oven and let the chicken rest briefly. Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the chicken and asparagus before serving hot.
Notes
For a dairy-free version, use nutritional yeast instead of Parmesan cheese. Ensure to select a gluten-free Caesar dressing if necessary.
