Description

A creamy and comforting chicken casserole with a crispy cracker topping, perfect for family dinners or gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 1/2 cups crushed buttery crackers
  • 1/2 cup melted butter


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine the shredded chicken, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, mayonnaise, and shredded cheddar cheese in a large bowl.
  3. Add the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  4. Pour the chicken mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  5. Mix together the crushed buttery crackers and melted butter.
  6. Sprinkle the cracker mixture evenly over the chicken mixture.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until bubbly and golden brown.
  8. Cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For a healthier option, substitute sour cream and mayonnaise with low-fat yogurt. Can be prepared in advance and refrigerated before baking.
