Description

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup (about 100g) breadcrumbs (preferably whole-wheat)
  • 1/2 cup (about 50g) grated Parmesan cheese
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs (like basil, oregano, or thyme)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional garnish)
  • Lemon wedges (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan, minced garlic, olive oil, and dried herbs. Mix well until the crumbs are evenly coated.
  3. Dip each seasoned chicken breast into the breadcrumb mixture, pressing down to ensure a good coating on all sides.
  4. Place the coated chicken breasts on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 25–30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the coating is golden brown.
  5. Remove from the oven and let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with chopped parsley and lemon wedges for an added touch.

Notes

For an attractive presentation, slice the baked chicken before serving and arrange it on a platter. A squeeze of fresh lemon over the top just before serving enhances the dish’s flavor profile beautifully.
