Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Fresh basil (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Combine breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl.
- Dip each chicken breast into the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently for an even coating.
- Arrange the coated chicken breasts on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until fully cooked and the coating is golden brown.
- Spoon marinara sauce over each breast after baking.
- Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese generously on top.
- Return to the oven and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish with fresh basil if desired and serve hot.
