Description

A comforting dish featuring tender chicken, crispy breadcrumbs, marinara sauce, and melted mozzarella cheese.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Fresh basil (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Combine breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl.
  3. Dip each chicken breast into the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently for an even coating.
  4. Arrange the coated chicken breasts on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes until fully cooked and the coating is golden brown.
  6. Spoon marinara sauce over each breast after baking.
  7. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese generously on top.
  8. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Garnish with fresh basil if desired and serve hot.

Notes
